Hello Nikolay!
your project is very interesting!

On good thing would be the network.... are you going to implement it?

I think you could learn more C++ by reading Ogre3D demos and the engine itself. I think you shouldn't not use engines only because you are not 'good in programming', you could learn at the same time.

BTW: edit your post and rewrite your email address to something like:
seminnikolay*remove*@gmail.com or you'll receive a lot of spam!

Nothing extremely new this time, except that I became a ms3d artist and animator!))

Nice animation ! you can use ms3d in Ogre so you could use that engine in the future if you want...

Thanks! I will definitely do that later!

I needed to remake the first model, here is its almost final view
Originally, it was not my model (I donwloaded it from this website), but I have worked greatly on it. Personally, I found this model (original) better lokking than your official model. It had better proportions
I borrowed the texture from the official model, that's why it does not fit well this model, though I think it is still very good!))

I don't know why but those buildings are familiar to me.... :p

you're progressing very fast !

The 3rd person camera should rotate when the mecha is changing the orientation....
Are you planing to use Ogre any time soon ?

Yes, I borrowed some textures because I failed to find simple buildings (<100-300 polygons) on the web, but one guy promised me to get some.

I am still student, have more spare time than others.

I changed it. I have adjusted robot movements as I wanted them to be, but I am still having difficulties with plane mode.

1. I don't know. Some global changes are coming to my life. I am not sure about my recent future.

2. Ogre means DirectX? I will have to study it. Right know I am aware that there is no big difference between DirectX and OpenGL, but still it will take me some time to get acustomed to DirectX.

3. Several month ago I dowloaded a couple of engines (it seems to me Ogre was one of them). I could not compile them)) At that time I was reall y bad in programming. I used to have a lot of problems with VS. That was the main reason why I prefered not to use engines that time. I donwloaded more than 400-500 small demos on opengl and they worked!
I mean - I had almost no problems with them. Of course, right now I am much more exprerienced and running an engine won't be a problem for me, but I want to accomplish this project as it is now.

Ogre uses OpenGL or DirectX.... i doesn't matter, you wont draw in inmediate mode in any 3D API, you'll use Ogre for everything.

then, it's time for you to change and use an engine... believe me. Your game will progress 10 times faster than now!

Besides that you will learn how to program well by looking the engine's code, specially Ogre....

Sorry, I was in deep shock after I has seen that clouds demo,
so I doubled messages to you here and on your email))

" Check this demo, press F1 for help
It is called old OLD VCIII demo (volumetric clouds)
Or see screenshots
http://www.aliotnew.narod.ru/
Do you think it is possible to make that with Ogre and other free engine?
I am not sure. I will have to write a lot of code myself like the guy did.
This is "old version". He is releasing new one soon!

than watch this from 20-40 sec
http://youtube.com/watch?v=SsDY0nbZtSI

Just image how my game will look like with similar clouds!!!"

2. THere is a bug - I have to login twice!
It happens often

3. How do you like new camera in my demo for robot state?

yes:

where, in this forum ? i didn't notice that problem...
3. How do you like new camera in my demo for robot state?

it's getting better, but would be better if you add some latency in the camera movement...
In Gerwalk the 3rd person camera moves like this:
1- the player (mecha) has two nodes, one node in its back, lets call it node1, the other node is in front of him (node2). Both nodes are attached to the mecha, so their position and orientation are relative to the player/mecha it means that those nodes moves at the same speed as the mecha.
2- on each frame the camera moves to node1 at its own speed (independent of the mecha's speed).
3- on each frame the camera changes its orientation in order to look at the node2.

so, the camera isn't in synch with the player AND the camera doesn't look at the player, instead it looks where the players looks.

see cameramanager.cpp in gerwalk's code ;)

1.
you are lying, there are ugly
But i have improved the way simple clouds create a big one

2.
Aslo, I have found a demo + src with rather realistic looking clouds
I am trying to mix it with my demo, though the clouds require more time to render

And I am going to jump from SkyBox to SkyDome
it is much better for 3d simulator

3.
I will think about your proposal soon after I release a new version

4.
This time there was no login bug. maybe I did smth wrong previously
